WORKING WITH SUICIDE AND QPR TRAINING
This course will be facilitated by Denis O'Connor who holds an M.A. in Supervision,a B.Sc Counselling and Psychotherapy, a Diploma in Suicide studies, and is a registered trainer with the QPR Institute, Spokane, Washington. He has 20 years’ experience in this field.
Denis works in private practice. Denis's presentations will cover the core aspects of Prevention, Intervention, and Postvention in the area of suicide.

Day 1 Prevention Overview of Suicide
QPR Training -specific training in how to Question, Persuade and Refer someone who is suicidal.
Intervention How to a deal with a client who is suicidal--part of this is experiental.

Day 2 Postvention How suicide grief is different
How we support those bereaved
Self care
